Erma Irene Lafayette

Erma Irene Lafayette, 81 year old resident of New Richland, died Tuesday evening, April 24, 2018 at The Beacon in New Richland.

Memorial service will be 10:30 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alma City with Reverend Keith Bilitz officiating. Interment will be Alma City Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Erma Lafayette, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Lau) Lafayette was born on November 22, 1936 in rural Janesville. She attended school in Pemberton. Erma was a lifelong member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alma City where she was active with ladies aid.

Erma is survived by her siblings: Blossom (Paul) Stennes of New Richland, Donald (Maria) Lafayette of Gibbon, Evangeline (Rolland) Krienke of New Richland, June Fasnacht of Mankato, Marilyn (Harvey) Rannow of Madelia, Carlyn Kimbro of Black Duck, Junior Lafayette of Waseca, Delmar Lafayette of Waseca, and Ramona Nicklay of Barnesville; sister-in-law, Carol Lafayette of Waseca; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Harland Lafayette, Ardella Lightheart and Vila (David) Smith.
