Emly Krienke
EMLY KRIENKE, age 95 of Waseca, died on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Born at her parents home in Deerfield Township on April 29, 1921, Emly was the daughter of John and Johanna (Timmerman) Schuldt. She began her schooling at the Deerfield Country School as a young girl, then self-taught her way to her high school diploma. She later went on to the Minneapolis Technical Institute where she learned to work as an X-Ray and lab technician. Following her schooling she worked for Dr. Schaefer in Owatonna, then at the Mankato Clinic for a time, then she returned to Owatonna where she worked in the hospital for the remainder of her professional career. For a short time in the early 1950s Emly and her mother lived and visited Johannas family back in her homeland of Germany. Shortly after their return, on September 27, 1953, Emly was married to Arthur Krienke at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Meriden. They made their home in rural Waseca where she spent many years as a busy farm wife and mother. Over the years she enjoyed caring for her family, flower and vegetable gardening, needlepoint, sewing, and photography. Later in her life she learned to crochet and enjoyed that also. She was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.
Emly is survived by three sons, Warren Krienke of Waseca, Paul Krienke of Waseca, and Ronald Krienke of Rochester. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; three sisters, Clara Flitter, Alma (Seewald) Fuller, and Frieda Bennett; and two brothers, Carl Schuldt, and Edward Schuldt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Giles Zimmer officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will follow at St. Johns Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County.
