Elmer J. Graumann
ELMER JAMES GRAUMANN, age 88 of Waseca died on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Colony Court in Waseca.
Born on December 20, 1927 in Beardsley, Minnesota, he was the son of Herman and Louise (Weber) Graumann. He attended Country School before graduating from Beardsley High School. He married Ursula Hildebrandt on November 20, 1949 in Clinton, Minnesota. Elmer farmed for many years in addition to working for other farmers. He later worked for Hasselquist Motors in Waseca before retiring from Brown Printing after 21 years. Elmer enjoyed camping, fishing, small engine repair, wood working and fixing things. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his wife, Ursula of Waseca; children, David (Linda) Graumann of Golden Valley, Steven (Nancy) Graumann of Waseca; Amy Graumann (special friend, Erv Abraham) of Waterville, and Kathleen Castellano of Owatonna; son-in-law, Richard Rollins of Owatonna; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Rollins; granddaughter, Jennifer Castellano; brothers, Harvey and Otto Graumann; and sisters, Dorothy Martens, Helen Baxter, and Elsie Mattson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
