Ellen Schnorenberg

Ellen Schnorenberg, 93 year old resident of Waseca died peacefully on Sunday evening at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home of Waseca.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church on Thursday. Memorial are preferred to the Waseca Fire Department.

Ellen Marie Schnorenberg was born on March 3, 1923, in Christiana Township, Burleigh County, North Dakota to Henry and Mary (Hrdlicka) Stiles. Ellen graduated from Stewartville High School in 1943, and on August 25, 1945, she was united in marriage at Church of the Sacred Heart to Jerome E. Schnorenberg following his service over seas during World War II. They lived in Waseca all their married life.

She was employed at E.F Johnson Co. in production and inventory offices until her retirement in 1975. Following her retirement, she worked as a secretary at the Senior Citizen Center in Waseca.

She is survived by her sons: Jerome E. Jr. (Cheryl) of Owatonna and Richard (Gloria) of Owatonna; daughter, Nancy (Robert) Burhop of Waterville; 7 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; sister, Harriet Fox of Janesville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Jerome; parents; son, Thomas; daughter, Mary Ellen; sister Ann (Charles) Chicos; brother-in-law, Joe Fox.
