Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Paul, age 78, of Faribault, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Elizabeth Ann (Wolter) Paul was born on December 5, 1931 to Amadeus and Marjorie (Wears) Wolter. Marjorie died Feb. 2, 1932, and Elizabeth lived with her father''s friends until he married Genevieve Boise in September of 1934. Liz attended Nativity Grade School and Central High School, St. Paul; St. Mary''s College, Notre Dame, Ind., and the University of MN School of Dental Hygiene, making many lifelong friendships along the way, including Dr. Vincent Paul, whom she married October 23, 1954. After Vince''s military service was completed they moved to Faribault to form his dental practice. Liz was an active volunteer for her children''s schools and also for Immaculate Conception Church including: Church Council of Catholic Women, Parish Council, and Archdiocesan Parish Council. She was also a member of the Monday Club. She delighted in her family and always enjoyed attending their activities and sporting events. After Vince retired from his dental practice they began traveling, visiting 49 states and many foreign countries, and participating in many Elderhostel programs both here and abroad. They treasure the friendships they made during their travels and their widespread network of family and friends to visit made for great motorhome trips. During their 20 winters in Florida she volunteered for the Visitor Services at the Ft. Myers Airport. Liz was a knitter, quilter, reader, and but her favorite hands-on fun was pottery. Her style was primitive but functional. Liz is most grateful to loving family and friends who have been so attentive and helpful these past years, especially for their prayers. She feels truly blessed. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Vince; sons, Michael of Portland, OR, Gregory (Mary) of Raleigh, NC, Thomas of Plymouth, MN, Jeffrey (Julie) of Bloomington, MN, Joseph (Elisa) of Golden Valley, MN, and Daniel (Colleen) of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, John (Joan) Wolter of Salisbury, MD, Edward (Kathy) Wolter of St. Paul, and Thomas (Pat) Wolter of Dumfries, VA; sister, Virginia (Don) Bloomquist of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Steffie Paul; 10 grandchildren; two
