Eileen C. Hentges, age 94 of Mankato and formerly of Faribault and Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Pathstone Crossings in Mankato, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, with the Rev. James Hentges O.S.C., officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers in Onamia, MN. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. Eileen Cecilia Lattimer, the daughter of Dr. B.J. and Cecilia (Grady) Lattimer, was born on April 12, 1916 in Bancroft, Iowa. Eileen was raised by her parents in Springfield, MN and graduated from Springfield High School. On November 10, 1936 she was united in marriage to Stanley A. Hentges of Sleepy Eye, MN at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield. After their marriage they lived for many years in Sleepy Eye and were active members of St. Mary''s Catholic Church and the community. In 1967 they moved to Faribault, MN where her husband of 53 years passed in 1989. Some years later, she moved to Mankato, MN to be close to family and lived her last years at Pathstone living. She is survived by her five sons, Thomas of Austin, MN, and his wife Sandra; Richard of Eden Prairie, MN, and his wife Carol; Michael of Elko, MN, and his wife Donna; Patrick of Mankato, MN, and his wife Rebecca; and the Rev. James Hentges, O.S.C. of Rome, Italy; she is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her sister, Margaret "Peggy" Becker.
