Eileen E. Carpenter June 6, 1954 - April 18, 2014

Eileen E. Carpenter, age 59, of Shoreview, MN, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Eileen Esther Soch was born on June 6, 1954, in Buffalo, MN to Arthur and Delphine (Vincent) Soch. She graduated from Monticello High School with the class of 1972. Eileen married Carl Carpenter in 1982, and they have resided in Minneapolis, St. Francis, New Brighton and Shoreview. Eileen had worked at Faribault Foods, and as a food inspector for a company in Lakeville. She loved her cats, cooking, computer games, and was a cookbook fanatic. Eileen cherished summer gatherings and family reunions.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Carpenter of Shoreview; daughter, Charity Carpenter of Eveleth, MN; mother, Delphine Charlton of Faribault; siblings, Gladys (Bob) Huggins of Glenwood, Ark., Paul Soch of Faribault, and Rachel Foslid (companion, Bill Towan) of Florence, OR; aunt, Goldie (Leonard) Sorbel of Faribault; uncle, Joe (Louise) Vincent of Minneapolis; uncle, Fred (Connie) Soch of Waubun, MN; aunt, Myrna Menth of Monticello; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
