Edna M. Arndt, age 94 of Janesville, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment will be in the St. John''s-Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Edna Meta Emma was born on October 27, 1917 in Courtland Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota to George and Martha (Wels) Voges. On April 12, 1944 she was united in marriage to Willard Arndt at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland by the Reverend Marxhausen. After working at various farms in Nicollet and Courtland, they moved to Janesville in 1946 where they have continued to reside. Edna enjoyed traveling, crafting, playing cards, working puzzles, and baking. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Edna was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and its Ladies Aid, Card Club, and Sewing Club. Edna is survived by her husband Willard of Janesville; by her daughters Shirley (Roger) Meister of Mankato, Susan (George) Lopez of Janesville and Diane Radunz and special friend Terry Lundgren of Janesville; by her sons Richard (Carol) Arndt of North Mankato and Gary (Paula) Arndt of Janesville; by her 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and her great great grandson; by her brother Ray (Barb) Voges of Bemidji; brother-in-law Ray Boerger of Nicollet; sisters-in-law Arlene Voges of Courtland, Betty Barchus of Pequot Lakes and Leona Gottschalk of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Viola Schroder, Gertrude Macho, Agnes Otto, Harriet Boerger, and Esther Voges at infancy; brothers Leonard, George and Harold Voges; brothers-in-law Herb (Harriet) Arndt and Armin Gottschalk. Casketbearers: Robert Meister, Jamie Meister, Joshua Johnson, Scott Arndt, Pat Brown, Joshua Radunz, and Dan Iverson.
