Duane Roeker July 1, 1945 - January 27, 2009
Duane A. Roeker, age 63 of Waldorf, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph''s Hospital in Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville with Rev. Stanley Rosenau officiating. Interment will be in the Alma City Cemetery following services. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the hour of service at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home. Duane was born on July 1, 1945 in Mankato, Minnesota to Albert and Louise (Rudolph) Roeker. He was baptized at St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alma City. From an early age Duane had a special place in his heart for all types of animals. He had a great passion for collecting baseball cards and drinking coffee. He was a longtime member of St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alma City, and a resident of Elm Homes in Waldorf, Minnesota. Duane especially enjoyed time spent with the staff and residents of Elm Homes. He is survived by his brother, Ervin (Shirley) Roeker of Eagle Lake; three sisters, Violet (Jim) Brewer of Janesville, Mildred (Edward) Rueckert of New Ulm, Eunice (Ed) Differing of Forest Lake; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother Wallace (Joann) Roeker, and by his brother-in-law Lawrence Maas.
