DOUGLAS ARTHUR MOLDENHAUER, age 65, of Waseca passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Waseca.
Born on December 5, 1958 in Wilmington, Delware, Doug was the son of Arthur and Sara (Dillard) Moldenhauer. He graduated from Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Maryland. Doug worked various jobs prior to moving to Minnesota where he began a long career at Wenger’s in Owatonna, retiring at the age of 62.
On September 6, 2002, he was united in marriage to Susan Dahle in Ortonville, and together made their home in Waseca. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, camping, cooking and gardening. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Susan Moldenhauer of Waseca; son, Brad Buker of Mankato; grandson, Kaiden Buker; sister, Linda Jarrett of Seaford, DE; niece, Starla Ohm; nephews, Matt and Daniel Jarrett; mother-in-law, Betty Dahle; sisters-in-law, Darlene Krocak, Barb Swan, Nancy Hall, Mary Mahlen, Gretchen Dahle; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle, David and Barbara Ryan of MD; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sara Moldenhauer; aunt, Irene Sutlief; and father-in-law, Kenneth Dahle; brother-in-law, Daniel Dahle.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the State Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
