Doris Manthey, 91 year old resident of Janesville died peacefully on Monday evening, April 9, 2018 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Larry Griffin and Rev. Paul Muther officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.
Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Churchs Discipling Center in Janesville and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran School.

Doris A. Manthey was born on February 8, 1927, in St. Mary Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Otto and Alwina (Sievert) Braun. She was baptized as an infant on the family farm and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Doris was raised on her familys farm in St. Mary Township and attended Janesville High School, graduating in 1945. Following her education she farmed alongside her dad and brother. On February 17, 1957, Doris was united in marriage to C. Raymond Manthey at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Together they raised five children on a farm in Iosco Township and shared 50 years of marriage before Raymond passed away on September 8, 2007.
Doris was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active with the funeral committee and regularly attended bible study. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning and freezing her produce. Doris enjoyed playing cards with her siblings and cousins and entertaining at their home any chance she could but always kept her Sundays sacred. Doris cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family fondly remembers Doris as a hard worker and the wonderful meals they all shared together. She will be dearly missed.
Doris is survived by her children: Marilyn (Dave) Lynch of Pemberton, Arlene (Paul) Kreutzer of Mankato, Charles (Kris) of Janesville, Harold (Cheryl) of Cleveland and Sandra (Mark) Kolar of St. Paul; grandchildren: Mike (Amy) Lynch and their children: Stetson and Claire, Mark Lynch, Heather (Taylor) Hibbing, Molly (Rob) Mulcahey and their children: Sarah and James, Candice (Roger) Keen and their children: Allison and Mallory, Kim (Mike) Weber and their children: Andrew and Taylor, Ashley (Chet) Reiter, Angie (special friend Jake Golombeski) Manthey, Sarah (fianc Jordan Frederick) Manthey, Justin Manthey, Laura (Kyle) Wenzel and their son, Jace, Megan (special friend Tim Ulmen) Manthey, Katie (Lane) Worden, Tyler (fianc Jessica Brase) Fields and their daughter, Bryndle, Alexis (Bob) Thate and their son, Tucker, Lacey Fields, David Kolar and Matthew Kolar; brother, William Braun of Waseca; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister Dolores, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
