Doris Krenske November 17, 1922 - May 11, 2010

Doris M. Krenske, age 87, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church in Faribault, with Rev. Elden Eklund, officiating. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Doris Mary Kalien, the daughter of Edward and Susan (Hunt) Kalien, was born on November 17, 1922 in Faribault. She married Palmer Krenske on August 26, 1942 at the Fourth Avenue Methodist Church. She and Palmer were lifetime farmers in Wells Township, Rice County. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2005. Doris was a member of the Fourth Avenue Methodist Sarah Circle. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, playing euchre, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Gene) Kruse of Dundas; two grandchildren, Dawn Kruse and Michelle (Chad) Marks, both of Dundas; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Blake Marks; sister, Patricia Jandro (Swede, deceased) of Faribault; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Donald Kalien; and sister, Rosemary Bongers. Memorials may be directed to Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church in memory of Doris.
