Donna L. Stone, age 83, of Janesville, MN, died on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at her daughter''s home following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville, MN. Interment will be held at the Beaver Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Valley Springs, SD at a later date.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville, MN.

Donna Lee, the daughter of Elso and Bessie (Everson) Otten, was born on December 23, 1932 in Lennox, SD. She attended Sioux Falls High School and graduated with the class of 1950. On July 30, 1950 she was united in marriage to Warren Stone on July 30, 1950 in Luverne, MN. Donna stayed at home to raise their family and also helped her husband with book work for their construction company, Stone and Sons in Sioux Falls. Later they would move to Park Rapids, MN and operate their own resort for a short time on Potato Lake and Donna enjoyed playing the song "Wasn''t That A Party" over and over again in the lodge. After selling the resort they moved to Island Lake. Warren preceded her in death on December 24, 2000. In 2010 Donna moved to Janesville to be closer to her daughter. Donna loved music, bingo, gardening and fishing. She spent hours watching game shows in the past years including, Price Is Right, Jeopardy and the Family Feud with Steve Harvey. She loved doing crossword puzzles until her eye sight started failing her and taught her grandchildren, Chris & Caleb, 6-5-4 at the age of 4. Family was very important to Donna and she loved spending time with all of her family.

She is survived by her children, Deb (Gary) Swenson of Janesville, MN, Randy (Julia) Stone of Brandon, SD, David Stone of Park Rapids, MN, Chuck Stone of Sioux Falls, SD

and Sam Stone of Calloway, MN; by 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; by her sister, Bonnie (Vince) Gacke of Larchwood, IA and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Russ and Rick Stone and stillborn son, Andrew, granddaughter, Nichole Swenson, brother, Danny Otten, 2 sisters, Lorna Brown and Betty Jane Loger and by her daughter-in-law, Darlene Stone.
