Donna L. Cowdin, age 85, of Janesville passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Janesville United Methodist Church in Janesville with Pastor Kathy King officiating. Interment will be at the Alta Vista Cemetery in Alta Vista, Kansas at a later date.

Memorial visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville.

Donna Louise, daughter of David and Emma (Kuhn) McDiffett, was born on February 28, 1931 in Alta Vista, Kansas. She attended country school until the 8th grade. On September 30, 1947, she was united in marriage to Francis Cowdin in Council Grove, Kansas. Following their marriage, they moved to Janesville and started their family. She worked at Brown Printing in Waseca for over 30 years, but her main job was caring for her family. Donna was a wonderful homemaker and she loved spending time with her family. She loved dancing, listening to her husband play in the Good Ole Boys band, going to garage sales, and socializing with those around her. She also volunteered for many years at the Blood Mobile and Meals on Wheels.

Donna is survived by her children, Mary (Dennis) Conrad of Janesville, Judy Daschner of Janesville, Tom (Rita) Cowdin of Janesville, Joyce (Ken) Walters of Bloomington, Tena (Willie) Harris of Bloomington, and David (Gail) Cowdin of Pemberton; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maxine Cowdin of Dwight, KS; many nieces and nephews; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; sons-in-law, LeRoy Daschner, David Schweim, and Wally Mullerleile; granddaughter, Nicole Conrad; siblings,
