Donna B. Braun, age 88, of Mankato and formerly of Janesville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2015 at her home in Old Main Village in Mankato.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smiths Mill with Pastor Keith Bilitz officiating. Interment will be held at Smiths Mill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt- McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Donna Bell, daughter of Archie and Lora (Bell) Johnston, was born on September 4, 1927 in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended Mapleton High School and graduated in 1945. She was united in marriage to Wallace Miller and they later divorced. Donna worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Denny Anderson in Mankato. She also worked in the Dental Department in the St. Peter State Hospital. On April 19, 1952, Donna was united in marriage to Bert Braun in Mason City, Iowa. She was involved in the Janesville American Legion Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and the Dorcas Society. She also helped organize the pre-school program with the St. Clair church. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Linda (Galen) Erdman of Janesville, Joan (Jerry) Briggs of Estes Park, CO, and Beverly Stuhr of Isle, MN; son, Steve (Linda) Miller of Fort Mohave, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 35 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Maxine Larson of Thompson, IA, Robert (Judy) Johnston of Backus, MN, Ruth Ann Flemming of Brooklyn Park, Gary (Nacey) Johnston of Champlain, Karen (Robert) Knoof of Eagan, Rick Johnston of North Minneapolis, and Ron Johnston of White Bear Lake; and by many other relatives and friends.
