Donald R. Grendahl

August 9, 1948 — December 5, 2021

Don Grendahl passed away 12/5/21, surrounded by his wife, Ruth, and daughters, Heidi and Cheree.

Born on 8/9/48 in Swift Falls, and graduating from Benson HS and Dunwoody College of Technology. He enlisted as a Navy Seabee, served his country in Viet Nam, where he was decorated with a Bronze Star. Upon returning he started Grendahl Mechanical with his brothers. Don was entrepreneurial by nature, always asking questions and ready for the next adventure. He married the love of his life, Ruth in 1989, and they were always together. He was a superhero father, teaching his daughters to enjoy every life moment. He was a great storyteller, always sharing the best stories with his contagious laugh. His passions were family, travelling and finding the next great happy hour. Don was a member of Berachah Church, studied Bible doctrine daily and was secure in his eternal life.

Survived by Ruth Grendahl; daughters Heidi Kalis (Mike), Cheree Boegeman (Matt Hammond); grandsons Kyler Boegeman and Connor Kalis; sister Betty Hanson, brothers Jerry (Elaine), Phil (Debbie), Mark (Shay). Proceeded in death by his father Russ, mother Ida, father-in-law Gordon and brother Doug.
