DONALD P. LEWER, age 91 of Waseca died on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Born on June 28, 1924 in Waseca County, Minnesota, he was the son of Martin and Marie (Priebe) Lewer.  He attended rural Waseca County School before graduating from Waseca High School in 1942.  Don married Helen Schroeder on September 29, 1946 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden.  Together they lived and farmed in Waseca County.   Don enjoyed farming, fishing, playing cards and watching sporting events.  He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden.
He is survived by three children, Alan (Diane) Lewer, Brian (Cindy) Lewer, and Kari Gehring all of Waseca; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Orlin.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 4-7 PM and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
