DONALD PAUL McCAIN passed away peacefully at home after a battle with cancer on January 19, 2018.
Don was born in St. Paul, MN on December 15, 1938 to Roy and Lucille (Terch) McCain.  After growing up on the Iron Range of Minnesota and graduating High School in Virginia, Don attended Bemidji State University, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Education and began his teaching career. After teaching for several years, Don chose to continue his education and earned his Masters Degree from Syracuse University and shortly after found employment as a trainer for Univac Systems, a career that allowed him and his family to travel around the world.
After returning from his time in Europe, Don took a position with Walt Disney World Inc. where he worked as the Manager in charge of Data Communication Equipment for the newly built Epcot Center.  Don returned to his beloved Minnesota where he worked as a Manager of Data Communications for Schwans and then later as a Senior Consultant for CSC Computer System.  After retiring, Don moved to Waseca so that he could be close to his grandchildren, Toby, Mollie, and Rory.  Don also had five other grandchildren, Devon, Samantha, Kyle, Max, and Maggie.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lucile, as well as his brother David and sister Margaret. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Lee, his children Scott (Kelly) McCain, Greg (Tami) McCain, Kelly (Aaron) Skogen, Pat (Christy) McCain, his sister Ann (Ron) Peterson, and his grandchildren, Toby, Mollie, Rory, Devon, Samantha, Kyle, Max, and Maggie. Funeral services are scheduled at 2:00PM on Saturday February 3, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.
