Donald E. Fehn November 28, 1943 - February 12, 2016

Donald E. Fehn, age 72, of Faribault, MN, passed away February 12, 2016, at his home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at the Faribault Church of Christ, with Pastor Garry Rosenau, officiating. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Owatonna Hospice in memory of Don.

Donald Edward was born on November 28, 1943, in Faribault to Edward and Dorothy (Sommers) Fehn. He attended Faribault High School. At age 16, Don embarked on his 42- year career in construction. Over those years he assisted in the building of numerous schools and worked for many different companies, most recently with Mortenson Construction. He was a member of the Labors Union Local 132. Don then worked part- time with Cable Connection. He was married to Barbara Bennett on November 25, 1988. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a sporting enthusiast. He was known for creating and maintaining the most perfect lawn in the neighborhood, being a story telling extraordinaire and avid conversationalist.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fehn; children, Lisa Gillen, Donna Fehn, Kevin (Stephanie) Fehn, and Cory Fehn; step-children, Todd (Kara) Bennett, and Michelle (Doug) Becher; grandchildren, Casey Fehn, Dalton Fehn, Kashi Gillen, Ashley Fehn, Colin Becher, Grant Becher, Annika Bennett, Avery Bennett, Drew Bennett, Tyler Fahrendorf, and Harper Bennett; great grandchildren, Damian Fehn, Kolvin Wellinton, Madeline Fehn, Kaileb Dienst, and Emma Dienst; siblings, Richard Fehn, Shirley Schendel, Janice Krueger, and Audrey Woodworth; and many other relatives and friends.
