Dolores Flintrop, age 91, of Waseca, died peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Bridgewater at Janesville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1, at Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca with Fr. Gregory Leif as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, April 30, at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Dolores Marie Flintrop was born on December 12, 1927, in Waseca to Peter and Mary Jane (Convey) Munsch. She grew up in rural Waldorf and was a 1946 graduate from Waldorf High School. Following her education she stayed home to help her mom out around the home following the death of her father. Dolores was married in 1948 and was later divorced. She worked for 20 years at Brown Printing, retiring in 1997.
Dolores was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was active with Catholic Daughters. Dolores is remembered for her wonderful baking. Homemade bread and cinnamon rolls were some of the favorites. She enjoyed gardening and following her childrens and grandchildrens activities. Throughout the years she was referred to as mom Flip and grandma by many. Dolores was above all else a strong women as she persevered through many hardships during her life. She was a wonderful mother to her 11 children and they were all her favorite. She will be dearly missed.
Dolores is survived by her 11 children: Marty Flintrop of Hanska, Mary Ann (Bob) Amsrud of Waseca, Helen (Jim) Hanks of Waterville, Marcy (Leo) Vieths of Owatonna, Steve (Julie) Flintrop of Lakeville, Bernie (Theresa) Flintrop of Faribault, Pat Flintrop of Waseca, Rose Swanson of Faribault, John Flintrop of Waseca, Paul Flintrop of Waseca, and Angie Flintrop of Pemberton; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane (George) Byron; and son-in-law, Walter Swanson.
