Denise Stenbakken April 22, 1956 - January 17, 2012

Denise "DeDe" Stenbakken, age 55, of Faribault, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Three Links Care Center ~ Reflections in Northfield, following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with the Rev. Steve Delzer, Pastor of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church in Faribault, officiating. Interment will be held at the Valley Grove Cemetery in rural Nerstrand at a later date. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday evening for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Denise Faye Stenbakken, the daughter of Russell and Gertrude (Waldron) Stenbakken, was born on April 22, 1956 in Faribault, Minnesota. She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1974. Following high school, Denise continued her education and received a degree in Interior Design. She worked at Hirshfield''s in Lakeville and Apple Valley and most recently as a beauty consultant at Kohl''s in Burnsville, Minnesota. Denise loved decorating, shopping, dancing, trips to the casino with her twin sister Debra, traveling to warm places, especially Hawaii and most of all, taking care of her family. She is survived by her children, Vanessa Zoe Anderson and Noah Joseph Anderson, both of Dundas; by her siblings, Debra Thibodeau of Faribault, Suzanne Sutain of Litchfield Park, AZ, Julie Stenbakken of Litchfield Park, AZ, James Stenbakken of Nerstrand, and Michael (Rose) Stenbakken of Nerstrand; by her sister in law, Shelia Roehrick of Northfield; by her nieces and nephews, Randy Roehrick, Wayne Roehrick Jr., Cathy Mach, Tiffany Simmons, Brandon Thibodeau, David Stenbakken and Daniel Stenbakken; and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her infant daughter Lacy Glabe and by her brother Wayne J. Roehrick Sr.
