Delrose 'Del' Chadderdon September 13, 1919 - November 20, 2012
Delrose "Del" Chadderdon, age 93, of Faribault, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Sterling House of Faribault. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. Delrose Ann Helget, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Haala) Helget, was born on September 13, 1919 in Sleepy Eye, MN, where she also was raised. She married Theodore Forster on October 24, 1939 in Sleepy Eye. Del was a homemaker for their four children. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1965. She later married Gaylord Chadderdon on June 3, 1967. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1976. Del had worked at the Faribault State Schools prior to her employment of 19 years at Nelson''s grocery store in Faribault in the deli department. Del was an active volunteer in the community, which included helping at the Faribault Eagles Club, Faribault Senior Center Clothes Closet, St. Lucas Care Center and many ways at her church. In her spare time she enjoyed embroidery work. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and Faribault Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by sons, Dennis (Nancy) Forster of Faribault and Curtis (Virginia) Forster of White Bear Lake, MN; daughter, Mary Hogan (and special friend, Steve) of Fridley; daughter-in-law, Jean Forster of Monticello, MN; nine grandchildren, Pat Forster, Teresa Rezac, Shawn Forster, Eric Forster, Dan Forster, Tina Martaccio, Bruce Forster, Matt Hogan, and Melissa Blackstone; 17 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Augustin and Mildred (Francis) Augustin, both of Springfield, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore Forster and Gaylord Chadderdon; parents; son, Ronald Forster; her twin sister, Roseal Helget, brother, Melvin Helget; step son, Marvin Chadderdon; and special friend of 20 years, Clayton Simon. Memorials may be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or the Faribault Area Hospice in memory of Del.
