DELORES ANNE MEYER, age 85 of Waterville, Minnesota, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Central Health Care in Le Center.
Born on March 19, 1932 in Sherrard, IL, she was the daughter of Clayton and Leora (Curry) Rosenberg.   On October 31, 1937 she was baptized at the home of Samuel Langston in Sherrard, IL.   Delores graduated from Davenport High School in Davenport, IA and then married Otis LaVern Meyer, February 24, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, IA.  Together they farmed and worked at Annie Whitmeyer Farms in Davenport.  In 1958, they moved to Jackson County, IA and bought a farm and farmed together from 1958 until 1973.  After Otis died, Delores moved to Moline, IL and cared for her mother and uncle.  Delores later moved to Waterville in 2004 to be near family.  Delores will always be remembered for her love and compassion she shared for family, friends, and animals.  Delores enjoyed drawing, gardening, and nature.
Delores is survived by three children, Linda (Lyn) Meyer of Colorado, Steve (Colleen) Meyer of Waterville, and Bruce Edwards of Iowa; two grandchildren, Joe (Kristy) Smith and Danielle Meyer; four great grandchildren; and many others who called her grandma.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one aunt and three uncles.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport, IA.
