Dee Schuttloffel

DEE SCHUTTLOFFEL, age 78 of Waterville, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Born in Mankato, Minnesota, on July 24, 1944, Dee was the daughter of Joseph and Joyce (Anderson) Walser. On August 24, 1978, she married Robert Schuttloffel, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2015. She enjoyed playing cribbage, going to garage and craft sales, and being active with her friends. Dee loved her children, and her grandchildren were the light of her world, knowing her of course, as Grandma Dee. She loved spending time with her animals and was also a much loved “Lunch Lady”, to the kids at the Cleveland School, for several years. She was also a member of the Elysian American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

Dee is survived by four children, Joni (Grant) Bennett of Coon Rapids, Warren (Tammy) Pasbrig of Minneapolis, Steve (Tonya Strawn) Schuttloffel of Des Moines, Iowa and Gary Baumberger of Hutchinson; five grandchildren, MaKenzie, Joey, Tyler, Erynn, and Logan. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Autism Speaks organization.
