Debra L. Kohnert
DEBRA L. KOHNERT, age 52 of Waseca died on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Born on September 4, 1962 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Donald and Bernita (Proehl) Kohnert. She graduated from school in West Concord and had various jobs before she began working in housekeeping at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca for the past 25 years. Deb enjoyed attending high school sports and watching the Vikings. She also enjoyed knitting mittens and scarves, counted cross stitch, latch hooking, fill-in puzzles, changing purses, polka music, Lawrence Welk, and going to auctions. She took great enjoyment in her work and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved Mt. Dew, peanut butter, and Chicken in a Biskit crackers. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca and had been a 4-H member for several years.
She is survived by her mother, Bernita Kohnert of Waseca; sister, Donalee Butler of Randall, brother, Brian (Penny) Kohnert of Waseca; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friend, Maxine Klampe of Waseca. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 4-7 PM and continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. David Baumgarn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
