David Paquette October 2, 1939 - February 4, 2011
David W. "Shorty" Paquette, age 71, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Faribault died suddenly on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, with Fr. Clayton Haberman, officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and Crematory in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. David Wayne Paquette, the son of Edward and Emma (Forcelle) Paquette, was born on October 2, 1939 in Faribault. David graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1958. He then served in the U.S. Army for six years. He then worked at Land-O-Lakes before working at Implement dealers, Dusek''s and later Matejcek''s. David moved to Arizona and operated A-Access Self Storage in Tucson for many years. He is survived by children, David (Katie) Paquette of Tucson, Theresa Paquette of Tucson, Tyler (Kellin) Kirckof of Prescott, AZ, and Elizabeth Gheiler of New York, NY; siblings, Marlene Pohl of Faribault, Richard (Karen) Paquette of Faribault, Mary Jane Paquette of Minneapolis, Arthur (Elizabeth) Paquette of Faribault, Carole (Richard) Paavola of Minneapolis, and Kathy (Scott) Hunt of Faribault; sister-in-law, Marilyn Paquette of Apple Valley; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis (Mick) Paquette; a sister in infancy; and brother-in-law, Richard Pohl.
