DAVID PHILLIP BERG, age 89, died on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona from injuries sustained in a fall.
Born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota on February 3, 1929, Dave was the son of Victor and Helen Berg of Middle River, Minnesota. David lived a life of giving. He was actively involved in the Lutheran Church and several Minnesota communities and organizations in Pine River, Karlstad, Waseca, and Waterville. He retired as a full time Pharmacist on July 1,1991 but maintained his license to practice until 2017. He received many awards from community organizations including Past President of North Waseca Lutheran Church, Lions Club, Waterville Chamber of Commerce.  His crowning achievement was his induction into the Waterville Bowling Hall of Fame. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Josephs Hospital and Pathways Hospice of Tucson, Arizona for their kindness during his final days.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel; sister, Jeanette Stout; sons, David (Nancy), Kevin (Irene); and daughter Deborah (Steven) Cook; step son, Timothy (Pamela) Dagoberg; step daughter, Linda (David) Enyart; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.  David was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Dorothy Jean (Roche).
A service of remembrance will be held at North Waseca Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11AM.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.
