DAVID LEON ERICKSON, age 75 of Waseca, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the New Richland Care Center.
Born on May 11, 1942, in Olivia, Minnesota, David was the son of Theodore and Mabel (Snyder) Erickson.  He graduated from Olivia High School before continuing his education at Willmar Technical College.  During the Korean War he served in the United States Army.  He married Cecilia Jirele on September 5, 1970 in Owatonna.  David was an electronics technician who began by working on radio equipment for E.F. Johnson company in Waseca for many years.  He then worked at Waseca Technology Inc. and later with cellular telephone equipment for ADC until his retirement.  He was a member of the Waseca American Legion and he loved playing bass in his bluegrass band.
David is survived by one son, Chad Erickson of Waseca and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, Theodore and Calvin.
Visitation will be held from 4-6PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Christ Community Church in Waseca, with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating.
