David Albert Johnsen

DAVID ALBERT JOHNSEN, age 61 of Minneapolis and Palm Springs, CA passed away September 11, 2024. 

Respected Financial Controller at the Wayzata Country Club, generous husband, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Sue, father Arthur, and sister Susan. 

He is survived by his husband, partner and best friend Shawn Kinniry; siblings William (Marian O’Brien), Gerry (Debra), Mary Kay Nash (Gary), Joseph (Susan); mother-in-law Barb Kinniry; sister-in-law Maureen (Kalvin) Tegmeier, brothers-in-law, Mike (Kara) Kinniry, Tim (Sandy) Kinniry, and Ryan (Jen Smock) Kinniry; many nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. 

Memorial Service to be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 28th at the Church of St. Canice, 501 Maple St., Kilkenny, MN. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny. Lunch, eulogy and memories of David’s life will follow at the St. Canice Church Hall adjacent to the church following the burial. Memorials to any animal shelter of your choice are preferred.
