Darlene Marie Kukuczka

DARLENE MARIE KUKUCZKA, age 70, life long resident of Iosco Township in Waseca County passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Born on September 25, 1950, in Mankato to Francis “Bud” and Kathleen (Delyea) Hanf. Darlene was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her Catholic faith in her youth all at St. Jarlath Catholic Church in Iosco Township, Waseca County. She received her education at Sacred Heart Catholic School and at the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca, graduating in 1968. She furthered her education at Bethel University. On October 10, 1969, Darlene was united in marriage to, a young man from two cornfields down the road, Phil Kukuczka at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

Darlene worked for Waseca Soil and Water Conservation for over twenty years. She was also a vital part of the management of the farm working along side Phil delivering meals to the men in the field. She enjoyed gardening and spending time at the lake. Darlene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Above all else she cherished her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Blessed be her memory.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 51 years, Phil; children: Nick (Zoe) Kukuczka of Princeton and Vicki (Bob) Andresen of Ham Lake; five grandchildren: Karysa Harman, Celeste (Sam) Joachim, Jenna (Trevor) Martie, Ellie Andresen, and Keith Andresen; six great grandchildren: Baylee and Ryder, Isabella and Maverick, and Olivia and Madilynn; brothers-in-law: Jim Kukuczka, and Marty (Jen) Kukuczka; sisters-in-law: Kathy Gardner, Mary Broughten, Noreen Kukuczka, Diane (Dave) Brady, Leona Kukuczka, and Lucy Kukuczka; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Gehloff; brother: Erick Hanf; brothers-in-law: Jerry, Ronny, Duane, and Bob Kukuczka; and sister-in-law: Winnie Kukuczka.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the State Street Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the Mass at church on Thursday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Thursday May 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Msgr. Douglas Grams as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Jarlath Catholic Cemetery at Iosco Township, Waseca County.
