Danny Alvin Storlie

DANNY ALVIN STORLIE, age 75, of Waseca passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home.

Born on March 31, 1948 in Waseca, Danny was the son of Alvin and Dorothy (Kaufman) Storlie. He attended Waseca Central High School and graduated with the class of 1966. He attended the University of Minnesota before entering the Army. During this time, Danny was deployed to Germany working with the military police. While on leave, he married Connie Sandbeck on June 28, 1969 at North Waseca Church in Waseca.

After Danny’s military career, he returned to Waseca and began farming for his family. He also spent most of his career working for The Land magazine as an advertiser. He was an avid gardener. In his free time, Danny enjoyed traveling, photography, talking to people and camping, especially in the Boundary Waters.

Danny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie Storlie of Waseca; daughter, Rebecca Volovsek of Waseca; granddaughters, Emma and Molly Volovsek of Waseca; and sister, JoAnn (Les) Storlie of Waseca.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Dorothy Storlie; father and mother-in-law, Sandy and Verna Sandbeck.

A celebration of Danny’s life will be held at a later date. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
