Daniel David Wheelock

Daniel David Wheelock, age 45 of Janesville, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home due to heart failure.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7th at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Janesville
with Fr. Michael Cronin officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at the
Starkson and Steffel Funeral Home in Janesville and will continue one hour prior to service time at church on Thursday. Interment will be in Janesville Cemetery. Memorials to family are suggested.
Dan was born on May 28, 1973 to David and Marcy (Strauss) Wheelock in Mankato. He graduated
from Janesville High School in 1991. The same year the Janesville Golden Bears became the JWP Bulldogs. He wrestled in high school and really loved the comradery with his teammates and had a competitive spirit. Dan married Amanda Stoltzman on August 8, 1998. He worked for many years as a tile setter at Jerry's Tile Service in Mankato. He took pride in pointing out his work at various locations to his family. Marrying Amanda and raising their children were the joys of his life. He loved attending his kids' sporting events. Dan was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and in his younger days, riding motorcycle.
Dan is survived by his wife, Amanda. Children, Brendan, Shae, and Hailie. He was a proud Papa to little
Jayda. Parents, David and Karen Wheelock of Mankato and Marcy (Gary) Kruger of Stewartville. Siblings,
Preston (Megan) Wheelock of Janesville, and Wyatt (Katie) Wheelock of St. Clair. Paternal grandmother,
Theresa Wheelock of Janesville. Sisters-in-law, Lisa (Jim) Browning of Waseca, Lori (Jerry) Battey of New Richland, and Lynn (Gus) Bauman of New Richland. Father-and mother-in-law, Chuck and Sandy Stoltzman, and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, David Wheelock, Jr. Uncle, Mike Wheelock and grandparents, Bill Wheelock, Bud Strauss, and Sally Strauss.
