Curtis A. Guse
CURTIS A. GUSE, age 66 of Meriden died on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Born on December 4, 1950 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Leo and Deloris (Mittelstaedt) Guse. He graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1969. Following his schooling he served in the U.S. Army from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1971. Curtis married Teresa "Terry" Turvold on August 11, 1978 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. They had three sons and were later divorced. He was employed at Delta Truck Body, Herters Inc., and later Mustang Manufacturing as a welder. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Curtis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca and the Owatonna American Legion.
He is survived by three sons, Sean Guse-McKay of Rochester, Ronny Guse-McKay of Rochester, and Lonny (Sarah) Guse-McKay of Elkton; step-daughter, Kathi (Forrest) Himebaugh of Adams; three grandchildren, Lillian, Adeline, and June; and three step-grandchildren, Benjamin, Isaac, and Alyssa. He is also survived by siblings, Earl Guse of Waseca, Carol (Arlin) Born of Waseca, Raymond (Patricia) Guse of Watertown, Bonnie (Kent) DeLong of Waseca, and Susan (Lynn "Bernie") Swenson of Waseca; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bonnie Maxfield of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4-7 PM and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. Burial will follow at St. Johns Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township.
