Connie L. Meyer December 7, 1958 - December 5, 2014

Connie L. Meyer, age 55, of Waseca, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca, with the Rev. Howard White, officiating. Interment will be held at the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.

Visitation will be held at the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will continue at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to services.

Connie Lyn Stewart, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Murphy) Stewart, was born on December 7, 1958 in Oxnard, CA. Connie attended Moorpark High School and graduated with the class of 1977. Following high school, Connie attended a business college for two years and received her Associates Degree. On August 5, 1978 she was united in marriage to Timothy Meyer in Moorpark, CA. After their marriage they would live in Beaver Falls, NY, Bishop, CA, Moorpark, CA and in 1989 moved to Waseca, MN. Connie worked for 36 years in the banking industry and spent 23 of those years at First National Bank in Waseca. She held many positions over her career. Connie enjoyed being a part of her daughters activities and would often chaperone for different events at school and at church. Connie also enjoyed camping, traveling, especially to see the ocean and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Tim Meyer of Waseca; by her daughters, Leslie Meyer and Sam Bethke of Waseca and Lauren (Jake) Torke of Willmar, MN; by her brothers, Gary Stewart of Waseca and Paul Stewart Jr. of Oxnard, CA; by two sisters, Carol (John) Connors of Waseca and Donna Stewart of Moorpark, CA; by her uncle, Maurice Kincaid of Moorpark, CA; and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and her faithful dog and companion, Ruby.
