CLIFFORD WARREN TESCH, age 75, of New Richland, died on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the New Richland Care Center.
Clifford was born on March 1, 1949, in Mankato to Harold and Marie (Brown) Tesch. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his faith in his youth, at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Cliff grew up on a dairy farm in rural Waldorf and received his education at Waldorf-Pemberton Public Schools. In his youth he was active with the Waldorf Peppy Peppers. Throughout his life he worked various jobs which included Fritz Young Tiling, Polar which later became Cenex, Brown Printing, B & S Grain in Waldorf, Crystal Valley, and Canterbury Downs. He also owned and operated his own gas station which was called “Cliff’s Deep Rock”. Cliff was a member of the Waldorf Fire Department and enjoyed volunteering during Waldorf Days for many years. He was also a member of First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. He enjoyed toy collecting, especially replica NASCAR cars, spending time with friends and family and watching NASCAR racing and All Star Wrestling. Cliff had a beautiful sense of humor and loved children. He had a fun-loving spirit no matter what he was doing. He cherished his nieces and nephews, and they would fondly refer to him as “Uncle Cliffy”.
Cliff is survived by his siblings: Audrey Bruender of Waseca, Curtis Tesch (Sara Roemhildt) of Waseca, and Diane (William) Radil of Montgomery; nieces: Angie Swanson, Lori Bruender, Allison Tesch, and Amanda Schuldt; nephews: Jim Bruender, Dan Bruender, Jacob Bruender, Drew Tesch, Jeremy Lindeman, and Matt Lindeman; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Doug Bruender.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Waldorf Community Center in Waldorf. Interment will be at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the community center on Saturday.
Memorials are preferred and can be directed to St. Croix Hospice or the Waldorf Fire Department.
