Clarence C. Prehn, age 90 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00 P.M. at North Waseca Lutheran Church with Rev. Nancy Hansen, officiating. Interment will be in the Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Saturday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 7:00 P.M. service by the Waseca Masons Friday evening at the funeral home. Clarence Cowell was born October 20, 1922 in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Clarence Edward and Fanny Ann (Cowell) Prehn. He graduated with the class of 1940 from Waterville High School. He was united in marriage to Della Marion Kimber on August 14, 1946 in Northfield. Clarence and Della farmed together and raised their family in Blooming Grove Township. Della passed away December 20, 1976. After retiring from farming Clarence drove semi for various area trucking companies. On December 26, 1977, he married Caroline Broughten in Waseca. In his retirement Clarence loved his years working and being involved with the Waseca Area Senior Citizens Center. Most recently he resided at Colony Court in Waseca. He was a member of North Waseca Lutheran Church, and a 45 year member of the Masons, most recently Waseca Tuscan Lodge #77. Clarence enjoyed his family, especially time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his 1st wife''s children, Chawn (Jim) Schaff of Rochester, Calvin (Sue) Prehn of Waterville, and Kimber (Nancy) Prehn of Waseca; grandchildren, Tony (Tanya) Prehn of Eagle Lake, Christopher (Brenda) Jepsen of Long Beach, CA, Rachel Dorsett of Decorah, IA, Carl (Molly) Jepsen of Rochester, MN, Andrea Prehn of Minneapolis, Clint (Katie) Jepsen of Laguna Niguel, CA, Bridget Prehn of Waseca, Curtis (Chelsea) Jepsen of Rochester, Ben (Paulina) Prehn of Mankato; great grandchildren, Tenisha Prehn, Ethan

Prehn, Mariah Prehn, Logan Prehn, Hunter Prehn, Zach Prehn, Caleb Dorsett, Jackson Prehn, Carter Jepsen, Liam Jepsen, Charlie Jepsen, Logan Jepsen, Evan Jepsen, Joey Jepsen, Korina Jepsen, and "Baby Prehn" expected in September. Clarence is also survived by his 2nd wife Caroline, and her children, Dean Nelson of Madison, WI, Shirley Berg and Linda Huebl of Waseca. Also surviving are his sister, Constance Leonhardi of Oak Harbor, WA; niece, Danette Leonhardi of Seattle, WA; nephews, David Leonhardi of Seattle, WA, Mark Kimber, Glenn Kimber, and Dale Kimber, all of Northfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Della; granddaughter, Melissa Prehn; son- in-law, Fred Jepsen; brothers-in-law, Roger Leonhardi, and Donald Kimber.
