Cindy Mae Fordham

February 18, 1957 — March 31, 2025

Waseca, Minnesota

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cindy Mae Fordham, who left this world on March 31, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 years old.

Cindy was born on February 18, 1957, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Marvin and Ilene (Hubble) Kormann. A woman of deep love and unwavering dedication, Cindy spent over 20 years operating an in-home daycare, where she cared for countless children as if they were her own. Her nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on the many families she touched.

After closing her daycare, Cindy poured her energy into another passion—her own business, Cindy’s Cleaning Service. She took pride in her work, providing her services to many local businesses until her health no longer allowed her to continue. Even as she battled illness, Cindy’s resilience and strong work ethic never wavered.

Beyond her professional life, Cindy had a love for creativity and craftsmanship. She enjoyed woodworking, crafting, cooking, and baking—skills she shared with her family, filling their lives with warmth and tradition. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

Cindy was a devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waseca, where her faith provided her with strength and comfort throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Amber (Doug) Ballard of Haverhill, IA, and Aaren (Matt) Keilen of Waseca; Step-Daughters Beth (Rick) Fordham-Martin and Missy (Tom) Bauman her treasured grandchildren, Jay (Drew) Fordham, Kylie (Kyle) Fordham, Colton Blaisdell, Robert Fordham, Amelia Fordham, Hannah (Jacob) Fordham, Hunter Harty, Corban Fordham, Caden Fordham, and Caleia Fordham; and her loyal canine companion, Charlie, who never left her side. Cindy is also survived by her brother, David Kormann of Waseca; her sister, Carla (Mike) Pentico of Waseca; niece, Ashley (Nate) Burns and their son Oliver of Mapleton; and nephew, Alex (Jamie) Pentico and their son Asher of Waseca.

She is now reunited in peace with her parents, Marvin and Ilene Kormann; her beloved son, Adam Fordham; sister-in-law Veronica Kormann and great-niece, Evangaline Burns; and many other dear family members who passed before her.

Cindy’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated team at Andres Cancer Center, especially Tamara O’Brien, C.N.P., and the compassionate nurses who provided her with excellent care throughout her journey.

Cindy’s love, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear Cindy. You will be deeply missed, but your love will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know you.
