Christine M. Anderson

CHRISTINE MARY ANDERSON, age 70 formerly of Waseca, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Born on November 25, 1953 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Walter and Helen (Roeglin) Suemnick. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Christine graduated from Waseca High School in 1972 and went on to graduate with an art degree from Gustavus Adolphus College. She married Timothy R. Anderson on February 26, 1983 at St. John Lutheran Church. They were later divorced.

Christine was a long time employee of Brown Printing Co. She enjoyed many artistic hobbies including painting and drawing. She also enjoyed bird watching, sightseeing and visiting and socializing. She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca where she had been active in many organizations.

She is survived by her sons, Jason (Kristi O’Brien) Anderson and Jeremiah (Ashley Edwards) Anderson; and one grandson, Jaegar Anderson. She is also survived by her siblings, Cleora (Donald) Gehloff, Curtis (Bonnie) Suemnick, and Connie Nelson; brother-in-law, Orlin Bauman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carol Bauman; and brother-in-law, Daniel Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 12:30 PM until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
