Chris Seys

Chris Seys, age 60, of Mankato, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 13, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair with Fr. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the time of the service on Saturday.
Christopher Paul Seys was born January 21, 1959 in Mankato to George Sr. and Kay (Westphal) Seys. He attended St. Clair High School where he graduated with the class of 1977. Following his education, he worked on the family farm alongside his brothers. Later in life, Chris worked for construction companies in the St. Clair area. In 1978, Chris met his wife, Kim; and together they made their home in Mankato while raising two daughters.
Chris was a true outdoorsman, whether it was going fishing or just taking his canoe down the river. He always looked forward to his Canada fishing trips. Chis was involved with softball/baseball as a player, then as his daughters and grandchildrens biggest fan. He shared a special relationship with his grandchildren spending much time with them in their sports. Chris is remembered for many things, but mostly for his unique and quick-witted sense of humor, determined work ethic, resilience, and his humble and modest demeanor. He will be dearly missed.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Kim of Mankato; daughters: Jamie Wolfe of Mankato and Jennifer Kimpton of Lake Crystal; grandchildren: Morgan and Levi Keim-Wolfe; father, George Seys Sr. of Mankato; siblings: Deb (Wayne) Baumgartner of Mankato, George (Colleen) Seys Jr. of Mankato, John Seys of St. Clair, Donna Seys of Richfield, and Angie (Brent) Thoreson of Forest Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his mother, Kay (Westphal) Seys.
