Charlotte May Miller

Charlotte May Miller age 83, of Waseca, died peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Colony Court Senior Living in Waseca.

Funeral Service will be 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017, at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca. Visitation begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday. Private family interment will be 11:00 AM on Thursday in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Charlotte Miller was born on May 26, 1934, in Mankato to Godfrey and Augusta (Lundgren) Miller. She received her education at Mankato High School, graduating in 1952. Following her education, Char began working at the Telephone Company in Mankato as an operator. She continued this job for 45 years, retiring in 1998.

Although Char was never married, she lived with her sister and brother-in-law throughout her life in Mankato, helping around the house and taking care of her niece and nephews. After her sister and brother-in-law died she was able to continue living in the house until her health no longer allowed. In 2015, Char moved to Colony Court in Waseca.

Charlotte was a lover of dogs! She also enjoyed embroidering, going out to eat and especially cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Char was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her spunky attitude, sense of humor, and more than anything her goodhearted nature.

Charlotte is survived by her niece, Susan (Roland) Maas of Missouri and their daughters, Rebecca and Kimberly Maas of Waseca; nephews: Michael (LuAnn) Wolfe of New Mexico and John (Pauline) Clark of California; her little dog, Squirt; other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
