Carolyn "Carol" Sheehy

Carolyn Mary Sheehy nee (Davison)) died at Carriage House Senior Living in Le Center on June 16, 2022 at the age of 96.

Carolyn Mary Sheehy is survived by her children Susan Lymburn (Thomas), Mary Jo Theilig (Mitch), John Michael Sheehy (Elaine), Patrick Earl Sheehy, 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years John Stephen Sheehy, her daughter Anne Armstrong (Marshall) of Faribault and her grandson Porter Sheehy of Waterville

Carolyn (Carol) was born May 6, 1926 on in Elysian Minnesota to Earl and Mabel Davison. She graduated Waterville High School in 1942. On April 17, 1945 she married her high school sweetheart John Stephen Sheehy. Carol and John farmed their land near Waterville, owned an insurance agency, and were active members of their community and church.

They very happily welcomed 5 children into their family over a period of 16 years.

Her children remember their mom as a loving, caring, compassionate person with endless energy. Their home was filled with relatives and friends. She loved to have fun playing cards, riding on snowmobiles, traveling and watching birds. She expected her family to further their education and encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Carol excelled at playing the piano and singing. She was passionate about her garden and was an amazing baker. Carol was an active and dedicated member of St. Canice Catholic Church and often volunteered at Kilkenny.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 11:00 AM on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. Friends and relatives may gather from 9:30 until 10:30 to share stories. A reception will follow the burial at the church.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and Hospice workers at Carriage House for their care and dedication. We would also like to thank the ladies who are helping with the luncheon.
