Caroline E. Uhlir January 30, 1927 - June 25, 2014

Caroline E. Uhlir, age 87, of Faribault, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Caroline Edna Craig was born on January 30, 1927 in Alexandria, MN to Frank and Antonia (Schimek) Craig. Her mother passed away in 1930. Her father remarried in 1932 to Helen Morse. After, her early years in Alexandria, she was raised in Faribault and attended Faribault schools. For over 20 years, Caroline worked at J.C. Penney Co. in Faribault, both in the office and on the floor. She was united in marriage to Francis Uhlir on July 22, 1953 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. She and Francis owned and operated Uhlir''s Orchards from 1980 - 1992. Caroline and Francis loved to travel and enjoyed many winters in Florida together.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Uhlir of Faribault; brother, Clyde "Sonny" Craig of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harvey Craig, Edward Craig, Richard Craig, Arlene Craig, Patricia Helgeson, Ethel "Babe" Mortenson and Marjorie "Mick" Morrow.
