CAROL J. KINGSTON, age 75, of Waseca peacefully passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 20, 1942, in Long Prairie, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Rosella (Koester) Pommerening. She graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1960. Carol married Gerald Kingston on May 19, 1962 in Long Prairie. Through the years, Carol enjoyed raising her family as a nurturing stay at home mom. In addition, she worked from her home as a seamstress and drove bus for the local Head Start program. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her sisters, knitting, baking Christmas cookies, and hosting the 4th of July parties at the cabin. But most of all, she enjoyed sharing with Gerald both the simple pleasures and great celebrations of the family they created. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.
Carol is survived by three children, Jeff (Sue) Kingston of Waseca, Sharon Kingston (Curt Roth) of Bellingham, WA, Brenda (Mike) Larson of Waseca; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Rocky) Vosters, Brandon Kingston (special friend Jess Trautman), Tara (Jeff) Roemhildt, Clint (Meghan) Larson, Morgan Larson (special friend Tony Scheid), Ian Roth, and Chloe Roth; one great-grandchild, Albie Vosters; siblings, Roger Pommerening of Long Prairie, Diane (Loren) Rachey of Aitken, David (Karen) Pommerening of Osakis, Mary (Tom) Knisley of Miltona, Linda (Gene) Gerlach of Long Prairie, Karen (Tom) Williamson of Osakis, Janet (John) Umland of Bertha; brothers and sister-in-law, James (Elaine) Kingston and Ronald Kingston all of Long Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 54 years, Gerald, and infant daughter, Kathleen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 4-7 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca and continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
Peace can be found knowing Carol is now reunited with the love of her life and her best friend, Gerald.
