Carol Ann Arndt

CAROL ANN ARNDT, age 72, of Janesville, died peacefully on Monday evening April 20, 2020, at her home.

Carol was born on August 22, 1947, in Mankato to Charles Jerome and Iola Mae (Shelley) Orcutt. She attended Good Council High School, graduating with the class of 1965. On October 14, 1967, Carol was united in marriage to Richard George Arndt at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in N. Mankato. Together they made their home in Austin for 10 years where Carol and Richard adopted three children. Carol stayed home with her children and operated a daycare. In 1977, they moved back to Mankato and she worked for Carlson Craft, retiring after 12 years due to health concerns.

Carol enjoyed crocheting, reading books, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking, traveling, and going to the cabin. She loved her cats and dogs! Carol was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. She cherished the time she spent with her husband, children and especially grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard; children: Scott (Ann) Arndt of Menomonie, WI, Jenny (Patrick) Brown of Stockholm, SD, and Holly Arndt of Minneapolis; grandchildren: Tyler Arndt, Payton, Devin and Ainsley Brown; great grandson, Alister Wolff; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gary (Paula) Arndt of Janesville, Diane (Terry Lundgren) of Janesville, and Roger Meister; nieces nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Iola (Shelley) Orcutt; brother, David Orcutt; sisters-in-law: Shirley Meister and Sue Lopez; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Willard and Edna (Voges) Arndt.

Private family service will be held with burial in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.
