CAROL ANN RAETZ, age 78 of Meriden died on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
Born on January 21, 1939 in Waterville, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Franklin and Selma (Steve) Raetz.  She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1957 and then graduated from the Minnesota School of Business.   Over the years, Carol worked for the Waseca Journal, Jostens, City of Owatonna, and Brooktree Golf Course.  She had also been employed at OTC in Owatonna for 29 years.  Carol enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia.  She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden, was an active volunteer, enjoyed traveling and playing golf, served on the Orphanage Museum Board, was a member of the Eagles and the Sons of Norway.
She is survived by siblings, Darlene Ulrich of Hamburg, James (Shirley) Raetz of Waseca and Melody (Denis) Beland of Owatonna; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Clarence Naske,  one brother, Jerry Raetz and his wife, Linda, niece, Melinda Wright, and brother-in-law, Ben Ulrich. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.  Burial will follow at St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery.
