Carol A. (Bauer) Houle April 26, 1953 - August 21, 2013

Carol A. (Bauer) Houle, age 60, of Faribault, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home, following a sudden illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. There will be no viewing on Monday at the church.

Carol Ann, was born on April 26, 1953 in Faribault to Luverne and Arlene (Tebo) Bauer. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1971 and attended the McConnell School. Carol worked for 20 years as a Paraprofessional at the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind. She truly enjoyed her work at the school. She was married to Al Houle on March 23, 2010. Carol enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and her flower garden. She often looked forward to family gatherings and treasured her time with her grandchildren. Carol was a loving and caring foster mom for many years. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Al Houle of Faribault; her children, Christopher (Prinna) Boudreau of Shakopee and their children, Annabelle, Eve, and Alec; and Katie Lenway of Grand Forks, ND; her mother, Arlene Bauer of Faribault; siblings, Paul (Bonnie) Bauer, Abbie (Greg) Balfe, Jean (Duane) Herda, and Joan Cahill, all of Faribault, and John (Sue) Bauer of Boston, MA; many nieces and nephews; former husbands, David Boudreau and James Lenway; step-children, Jodi Taylor of Orlando, FL and her children, Derek, Natalie, and Nylini, Rebecca Houle of Minneapolis, and Dave Houle of Madison, WI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith (Bonnie) Houle of Becker, MN, Norman (Shirley) Vandal of Jamestown, ND, Kenneth (Coreen) Houle of Brooklyn Park, MN, Sister Sharon Houle of Fargo, ND, Ms. Emma Jean Houle of Indianapolis, IN, Gary (Roberta) Houle of Champlain

Park, MN, John (Doreen) Deschene of Burnsville, Ron (Janet) Houle of Kennington, MN, and Pamela Hagen of Big Lake, MN; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luverne Bauer; brother, Lyle Bauer; granddaughter, Sophia Lu Boudreau; and mother-in-law, Lillian Houle.
