Carlyle Beaupre January 28, 1920 - November 7, 2009
Carlyle H. Beaupre, age 89 of Faribault, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to services. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Carlyle Henry Beaupre, the son of David and Nora (LaBlanc) Beaupre, was born on January 28, 1920 in Faribault. After graduating from Faribault High School, he joined the U.S. Army - 41st Infantry 186th Division E Company and received the Bronze Star during WWII. He married Jeannine Manthey on March 21, 1947 in Faribault. After his military service he worked at the Faribault Woolen Mills. He attended Barber School and was a barber in Faribault for 45 years. After retirement, Carlyle drove school bus for Faribault Transportation for several years. They lived in Shieldsville for 20 years then moved back to Faribault. In his retirement, Carlyle enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the American Legion Post 43, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1562, Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Faribault Council 889 Knights of Columbus, and the Faribault Drum & Bugle Corps. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannine; three children, Carlyle Jr. (Janet) Beaupre of Cambridge, MN, Lorrey Andrew (Deb) Beaupre of Redding, CA, and Irene (Marvin) Budin of Shieldsville; grandchildren, Heather (Dan) Sheridan, David Beaupre, Janet Budin, Garrett Budin, and Keri Beaupre; step-grandchildren, Katie Miller, Steven Miller, and Crystal Hamilton; sister, Lorraine Miller of Faribault; sister-in-law, Elaine Manthey of Faribault; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Doris (Cletis) Hering, Eugenia (Bud) Larkin, and Celia (Irvin) Westlund; and brothers-in-law, Leslie "Bud" Manthey, and Bing Miller.
