CARL SCOTT FISCHER IV “SCOTT”, age 58, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Scott was born on December 29, 1964, in Wells to Carl Junior and Barbara (Linde) Fischer. He received his education at Waldorf-Pemberton Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1983. Scott served in the Army Reserves before beginning his working career. He worked at Corchrans, E.F. Johnson Co., Itron, and Froehlich’s Sandblasting and Painting. He also worked as a Gold Cross Carrier and delivered the Mankato Free Press. Scott enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, watching the Minnesota Vikings, playing pool and having a good time alongside his family and friends. Scott was a good son, brother, dad, companion, and friend.
Scott is survived by his companion for the past 23 years, Bonnie Esser of Janesville; children: Desiree (Cole) Barkos of Duluth and Dalton (significant other, Tyler) of Duluth; mother, Barbara Fischer of Minnesota Lake; brother, Ron (Stacie) Fischer of Waldorf; sister, Renee (Brian) Meyer of Janesville; half-brother, Gary Olsen of Winnebago; nieces and nephews: Sophia (significant other, Riley) Fischer, Carter (Breanna) Fischer, Aubrey (significant other, Chase) Fischer, Raquel (significant other, Adler) Fischer, Ashley (significant other, Chris) Meyer and Cody (significant other, Karlie) Meyer; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents: Carl William Sr. and Anna (Fennert) Fischer and Rudy and Clara (DeVlaeminck) Linde and Smokey the Cat.
A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at the Waldorf Community Center on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1-4 PM.
