Bruce Born August 8, 1952 - June 6, 2009

Bruce E. Born, age 56 of Madison Lake, died on Saturday, June 6, 2009 surrounded by his family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the St. John''s-Trinity Lutheran Church in Iosco Township. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 until the hour of service, at church. Bruce Edward was born on August 10, 1952 in Mankato, Minnesota to Harold E. and Dorothy M. (Manke) Born. He graduated from Janesville High School, and went on to earn his degree from South Central Technical College in agricultural mechanics. During his studies at South Central, Bruce began his career with Minnesota Valley Ford/Ag. Equipment in Mankato. He was united in marriage to Karen Pemble on January 23, 1974 in Marysburg. Bruce and Karen had three sons, and later divorced. He continued his career with Carlson Lake State Equipment in Lakeville. Bruce later worked for Northwest Airlines for a short time, and D & B Tractor in Janesville for four years. For almost 30 years he worked as service technician manager for Mankato Implement, where his was treated like family. Bruce married Ann Zeiher on March 10, 2000, in Las Vegas. For the last 15 years, Bruce had been a member of alcoholics anonymous in Mankato. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved his time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ann Denn-Born of Madison Lake; by his sons Andrew (Tammi) Born of Lake Crystal, Dan (Erin) Born of St. Peter, Tim Born of Mankato; by his mother Dorothy Born of Janesville; by his step-son Jeremiah (Amanda) Denn of Mankato and his step-daughters Jennifer Denn of Mankato, and Sara Denn of Madison Lake; by his brothers Russell (Laurie) Born of Janesville, and Lee (Melanie) Born of Janesville; by ten grandchildren, Justin, Jaret, Jackson, Alexia, Harold, Charlie, Audrey, Josh, Madison, and Jaden; by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Honorary bearers are Ron Kibble and Mankato Implement employees; his friends Gerald Stanke, Jerry Uecker, Dustin Lotten, Spencer Westphal, Larry Pemble, and Jim Pemble.
