Bonnie Jean Neilsen

Bonnie Jean Neilsen 66 of Janesville MN passed away June 20, 2023 with her family by her side. 

Bonnie was born July 24,1957 to Claire and Jean Tabor in Austin Minnesota. Bonnie graduated from Rochester Mayo High School in 1976. Bonnie was happily married to Neil Neilsen for 44 years.

Bonnie raised her children with love and dedication. She led by example, teaching those around her to be loyal, honest, and caring. Her focus in life was her family. Bonnie enjoyed being a wife, mother and Nana. Bonnie spent hours sewing and quilting blankets for her family. We cherish each one. When Bonnie cooked it was always from scratch, and everyone could taste the love and patience she put into every meal. Bonnie handed down her love for good music. She was happiest when we were all together, enjoying each others company. We would play games, cook good food, and jam some tunes with her grandchildren running and dancing around until they got too tuckered out soon to fall asleep rocking in her arms. 

She is survived by her husband Neil and their three children Carrie (Dylan) Ahles, Jacob (Shannon) Neilsen, and Kelly (John) Bense; her brother, Derwin Tabor; and sisters: Loretta (Carl) Harwood, Connie Adler, and Cindy (Keith) Johnson; grandchildren: Manuel, Samuel, Brynlee, Benjamin, Ellie, Jovah, Jack, and Rose; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents: Claire and Jean Tabor; brothers: Stevie Tabor, Everett Tabor, and Tim Tabor, and granddaughter Willow Bense. 

Private family services will be held with Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Janesville.
